Dr. David Livingston founded the One Giant Leap Foundation (OGLF), a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization which controls and operates The Space Show®, to promote education and understanding among the general public, including school-age children, of the importance of all issues relating to space. In carrying out its mission, OGLF focuses in on educating the public about the space benefits talked about on The Space Show. OGLF knows the importance of education for all ages and segments of society, so by educating people on the importance and value of expanding space commerce, developing an economic space infrastructure, advancing science and research, and facilitating the industrial development, space benefits all mankind.

Space benefit: From the football turf to high above the Earth, heat exhaustion can be life-threatening. Now the same type of "thermometer pill" that astronaut John Glenn swallowed as part of space shuttle medical experiments is also helping athletes to beat the heat. Source: HQ, Inc. |
Dr. David Livingston’s doctoral dissertation, completed in 2001, was on the commercialization of space. This was the same year he founded The Space Show, the nation’s first and only talk radio and advanced-media show focusing on increasing space commerce, advancing space science and economic development, and facilitating our move to a space-faring economy and culture. The program format is that of Dr. Livingston interviewing a leading personality in the space or a space-related field. Listeners participate with questions and comments in all programs. Dr. Livingston created The Space Show to bring the space message and tell the space story to the general public, as space is an important path to our successful future. Because of the growth and success of The Space Show, Dr. Livingston formed OGLF in 2005. Currently, OGLF controls and operates The Space Show.
